No mini van seems to have the space an Aero has. How about the Mazda MPV? Ray Mac

That is true, and obviously all vehicles have problems. But, usually you can get an idea of what kinds of problems and how difficult and expensive they are to correct as well as what things are important to check out before purchasing.

I really wood like to get my wife a 97 Toyota Previa, they seem to have a good reputation but I would think working on them would be hell.  The previa has a mid engine set up and you have to go under the driver's side seat to access the engine through a small and not spacious hole in the floor of the vehicle.   I do think my wife and I made a good descion by going from a 95 RWD of 150K to a 97 AWD of 92K that has been better taken care of.

I have yet to find a van that is as versatile and reliable as the Aerostar. The GMC/Chevrolet though it has a nice V6 4.3 L engine the transmission's especially the AWD models are known for constant problems.
