This weekend, I removed the air intake silencer (some call it a snorkel tube) from my '93. It seems to have helped a little. I was thinking about removing the resonator that extends over the radiator to use its opening as a second air intake, but I was afraid this might allow water to get in the air filter box. Do you think there is any danger in this, or if it would be worthwhile?

I finally fixed my cruise control; I looked under the dash, and there was about 3/4" slack in the cruise cable. I looked at the vacuum actuator under the hood and figured out how to adjust the cable; I tightened it to just below the point where it would put tension on the throttle at idle. It worked much better, but it's still not strong enough to open the throttle enough to trigger the kickdown cable, and I can't tighten the kickdown any more without totally losing overdrive and lockup.

Please note my other messages about performance chips and intermittent power loss; I could really use some help with these. Thanks guys.
