Hi folks. First post. I bought an Aerostar/3.0/2WD back in July/August timeframe. I just had the tie rod ends replaced and an alignment done. Now I'm noticing some pulsating in the steering wheel during braking. The pads are in good shape, but the rotors are shot. They are beyond turning/shaving. So, here's my thought. I'm looking for better aftermarket rotors than the stock ones. I have no clue where to look. Y'all got any input? I appreciate the help.

All the more reason to invest in a good quality torque wrench. If the wheel bolts are not tightened to specifications, the rotor will warp when it is hot due to uneven torque on the bolts. I have had my volkswagen rotors replaced under warranty because the bolts weren't torqued correctly. I tighten all my vehicles wheel bolts according to the owner's manual specifications in tightening the bolts. Never had any problem there. Robert

Checked for binding calipers but have never used a torque wrench before on wheel studs on any car. . . Sounds like it's definitely worth a try. . . Thx to all! cil

That assumes you don’t mind changing them on a regular basis. My experience with “lifetime warranty” parts is that most are cheap junk that fail in short order. I would rather buy quality parts and not have to waste my time replacing the same part over and over.
