Did you do them yourself? My front bushings are gone I think, the back sounds quiet still. Man, I can't get rid of this rough idle either. I've got new ignition, cleaned the butterfly valve on the throttle body, and still no luck. Also, a little detonation in 4th gear, 50 mph, 2000 rpm and apply a little gas. The car should sense that and shift or something, don't you think? Maybe shitty gas (under 87 octane). What do you think?

no i had meineke do it for like $25 cuz i couldn't get the old ones off myself they were rusted real so bad they had to heat the bolts up with a torch and use a impact gun after that. as for the rough idle try cleaning the IAC and try to adjust the TPS for the idle

I experienced the same thing..hunting for exotic cures in the electronic ignition system, etc.  Finally, I bought new spark plug wires.  It cleared up almost immediately.  I say immediately because the computer had to reconfigure itself because of new parts/input.

I've done plug wires and cap less than a year ago. Do you find they crap out that soon?

Provided you bought quality products, no they shouldn't crap out that quickly.  You asked about the IAC.  There's a procedure on this web site that describes how to clean this valve.  Basically, you take it apart and clean everything with carb cleaner.  If you give me a fax number, I'll send you the "how-to" article.

Oh, I cleaned that big butterfly valve already, toothbrush and carb cleaner. Is the IAC that one (on intake)?

I think you're talking about the Mass Air Flow sensor (MAF).  The IAC has a coolant line and an electrical line connected to it.  It has four screws on the top and it's located on the back side of the rocker arm cover, right side.  Did you clean that also?

I haven't checked that piece out yet. And, the link below does not work. What should it be? Thanks!
