Has anyone out there actually converted from rear drums to disks (or know of a site by someone who actually has)? I've seen a couple of descriptions of the process, but they seem secondhand, and raise some unanswered issues. 1) Is there some incompatibility of brake proportioning valves or master cylinders that should be corrected concurrent with conversion? 2)Is the emergency brake cable switched out all the way to the Ebrake handle or somewhere in between? Thanks, Bill

From my TSM (Techinical Service Manual) and visual inspection of a PGT master cylinder, I strongly believe they are identical. Bryan >

Have you seen my brake page, it covers the conversion: www.geocities.com/Motorcity/1377 ~ Torrienta

Yes, I've seen your web page and I'd like to thank you for creating that resource for other Probe owners. One question, your brake page says the proportioning valves vary based on brake and engine type. Doe this mean an SE needs a different proportioning valve if it originally had drums but I try to put disks off of a GT on it? Also, do you know or have you read about anyone who has actually completed the conversion? I wanted to know if they had any additional advice based on their hands-on experience. Thanks again, Bill
