i dont know how easy they are to fix i left mine like it is. if it is the motor take the back seat out and then all the panels and trim off the wall and it is in there. if it is the belt or track take off the trim above the door and see if if it just off track

Its cheap enough to try and find one at a junk yard that works. And as for changing it, its about twenty minutes for the first time. I had to change both of them in my 90 bird. Luckily I had a 92 cougar for parts. Yes, you have to remove the interior trims from above the door and behind the seat. They do come out without removing the back seat, the bottom portion is just velco. Once you have the trim off, its just a couple of 10mm bolts and 2 torx. Disconnect the wire harness, plug the new one in and bolt it fast. Simple really, just a pain in the ass to have to do if you don't know, or don't want to be bothered. But after a local cop saw me throwing mine over my head getting out and asked me about it, it as worth the hour I spent doing it to not get cited for it. Good luck.

Let me know if you get a reply. I haven't gotten one and I would like to know what ours are worth. Also let me know if you find a good source for original replacement. I only found the good originals in the back seat and I am missing front seat.

If I remember the buckles (latch) comes from the middle of the seat and the clip goes on the outter sides of the seats.
