If I put a shift kit in my '96 Bird will I have to worry about the tranny handling it. My tranny is still all stock, and I am not sure how much the stock converter can handle, I really don't want to tear it up because it can't handle to hard a shift. Anyone have any suggestions on good kits that won't rip apart my torque converter

I would only do one "shift kit" for a 4R70W, the first three articles here http://www.tccoa.com/articles/tranny/index.html# With an auxilliary tranny cooler this won't create any more wear & tear.
