Jordan, Just curious. What didn't you like about the knob and the stock boot? The boot is black leather (right?)...and so is most of the knob. Reason why I ask is because I'm looking around for a new knob to add some height to the shifter since installation of the short shifter would place the knob a bit too low. The one you had looked like a decent one (the price was the only thing that didn't look very attractive). Any way you can get yours back or have them sell it to me at your price? -Lino Sacman, SCPOC '93 Rio-Red PSE, 5-spd >Lino (and everybody else), > >The knob that I got was a Grant, www.grantproducts.com but I didn't like it >with the stock boot so I took it back. Lino, There were two things that I really didn't like about it. First off, that color of red was much too bright for my interior. I don't know how it would work with yours, though. Also, the bottom of the knob wasn't as big around as the top of the boot, so it looked bad. I think that there are ways to fix that, but it just wasn't worth it. Also, the one I got had some scratches on it, so I don't think you'd want it anyway. I bought it from a local shop and they returned it to Grant, so I think that one's out of the question for you. I loved the look of the knob, just not on my car. Tell me what you think. Jordan >

The picture of the Grant knob looked sharp and clean and somewhat hi-tech, mostly black with some red on top. I could have even gone with the all black one Maybe it was just the angle the picture was taken but you say it was too bright red? Perhaps... but you already know I have the black and fairly bright red seat covers to match. :-) I took a look at the knobs from Nopi and those had way too much wild patterns and shiny colors for my and my tastes. No disrespect to anyone who has one but those knobs reminded me of fishing lures. Just my opinion. BTW, did you know the width on the top of the stock boot is made by a plastic washer on the inside of the boot? It's what keeps the boot up on the shaft. You can replace the washer with another one (or even a metal washer) of smaller outer diameter to reduce the width at top. -Lino Sacman, SCPOC '93 Rio-Red PSE, 5-spd
