You can't go wrong with either shifter. Flip a coin - heads=Pro5.0, tails=Tri-ax. Either way, it's a win-win. Terrence TM88GT on the Corral/Mustangworld

I tried both. For some reason I think I'm the only person on earth that has always missed second gear with the Pro 5.0, I wasnt too comfortable with the Pro 5.0. I used to have a Steeda Tri-Ax, nice shifter, the throws are shorter, but kind of notchy...I went to the tried and tested, and my favorite..Hurst Comp plus, or whatever it's called now..rarely missed a shift with this shifter. -Mike Smith former owner '98 Cobra 13.07/106.7 stock off the showroom >>> tderrick@... 04/25/01 04:28AM >>> ok, once again i'm trying to decide which shifter to buy, pro-5.0 or steeda tri-ax...i couldn't decide last year, so i let it slide. but it's time to replace the stock shifter... opinions... pros-cons of each, please. aj 66 coupe 95 gt Your use of

I've got the Pro 5.0 and haven't had any problems at all. A little short though. I hear the Tri-ax has a longer handle that can be bought separately for the Pro 5.0. If I was to do it again, as long as the price was similar, I would go with the Tri-ax.

I got the Tri-ax. Works way better than stock, and for some reason I like the notchiness. Very direct and easy to use, I have no problem reaching the handle. Jason McGraw '01 True Blue GT Convertible

Pro 5.0. I had the stock handle modified and bolted it to the Pro 5.0 and it has been perfect ever since... Joe Cargal Asheville, NC 1995 Mustang Cobra "Max" 1987 Kawasaki ZX1000A2 "Lucky"
