Well today i was driving back home from work in the Rubi, and noticed a HUGE 1987 F250 sitting for sale in a lot. I pulled in and checked it out, it had a fuel injected 300 Straight six with 37IN Goodyears, and looked like their was plenty of room for 44IN tires under the truck. Man! I'm not kidding i will need a ladder just to get in this truck if i do get it. The guy wants $3500 OBO for it, but i'm going to check it out to see if there is anything really worn or getting ready to go out. My Rubi looked like a dwarf parked beside the truck. And from what i am told, i've never owned a FORD 300 Straight six, but i'm told they have mounds of torque, and can actually out pull most v8's. I'm guessing the truck has Dana 60 axles, they look nothing like Ford axles. And i'm wondering what gear ratio it has.I also noticed it had the front locking hubs. If anyone is familiar with these axles or the Ford 300 six engine. please let me know. The truck has an O.K. paint job, but the interior seats are ripped and i can tell it needs some work, but the lift is freaking huge. I stand 6 foot 2 In tall, and the tailgate side rails/hood of the truck sits higher than the top of my head! One thing worried me though it did not have a state inspection sticker. i talked the guy down to $2250. what do you think? should i buy it? here's pics. http://www.anyboard.net/testab/Rubicon/posts/37.html
