the multi-prong plugs really do suck in our cars. Platinum will last longer, but copper will provide a bit more performance. Motorcraft and Autolites are what most people have the best luck with.

Get Bosch +4 and get screwed out of $20!!! Total gimmick and everyone is falling for it...WHY??? Plugs can only arc to one ground on the thing. Why have three extra??? DO NOT BUY THESE YOU WILL FEEL NO DIFFERENCE IN THE CAR!!! I have regular Bosch plugs that cost less than $2 a piece. Car runs perfect with 100,000 miles. Chad >

The theroy behind the +4's is that with the 4 electrodes you will get a longer lasting plug. Well, anyone that does performance work needs a better performing plug, not a longer lasting plug. The Bosch platnum plug has more platinum on the one electrode than the +4's. Therefore the plug will OUTPERFORM, not OUTLAST the +4's. It's not recommended to waste the money on the +4's. If you want to spend $20.00 on 4 spark plugs, go to www.nology.com, their plugs are probably the best you can buy, and the most expensive. Don't waste the money on the +4's, you won't gain any performance. Steve

I don't think the +4 plugs will last any longer, but they will provide a smoother engine. The theiory is that if there are 4 tips, there is 4 chances for the spark to arc, rather that one. This will provide for a more reliable detonation. most single tip plugs miss or get a weak arc, and a weak detonation occurs. maybe not enough to retard the accelaration of your car, but enough to make the engine rougher. With the +4's the best arc possibe is achieved on every detonation, therefore a smoother engine. Nick

Are your 0-60 times going to improve? Will you run the quarter mile any faster? Will you feel any difference? NOPE! Heres two things to think about: 1) They cost $20 a set. If they really enhanced performance that much, they wouldn't cost just $20 a set. 2) My friend owned a Porsche and he took Bosch +4 plugs to his mechanic and asked him to install them. The certified Porsche mechanic, Franz, said they aren't worth it and even recommended non-platinum plugs. It wasn't a brand new Porsche but it was still a Porsche! Ask any mechanic at a reputable shop and they'll tell you it's a gimmick. Chad >

its not necessarily a performance increase to put better spark plugs in your car, its more the fact that the better plugs deliver a more reliable spark, and dont corrode as fast, i dont personally buy the BOSCHE PLATINUM QUAD PLUG or whatever they have called, a plug is a plug, but you pay for what you get, and if you spend a dollar a plug, your going to be doing that more often...

Bosch Platinum+4 are the best plugs for almost any car. They come pre-gapped and last the longest. You will also pay for this, as they run about $4.99 a piece. Another good plug that is not pregapped are the Bosch Platinums, they run about $ 1.79 a piece.

Platinum+4 is the best Bosch plug. Bosch is one of the best plugs on the market. I use Platinum+4's, and there is a noticeable difference in the timing and idle speed. I definately recommend them. Also, they do come with some money back guarantee, but I work at AutoZone and I have never seen someone redeem it - that shows they are good. There are a lot of AC Delco plugs returned.

As far as ingnition stick to MSD products. As far as ingnition box I use a MSD 6A. I thought about using the Digital 6, but decided to stick with the 6A. I switch to the red wires I've had the blue "high suspesion wires" in the past and have had slightly better performance and economy with the red ones. For spark plugs I'm currently using Bosch Platinum, but I will be switching to Autolite Platinum. Due to the Bosch fouling and problems other people I know have had with them.

If you run the MDA 6 series stay away from the BTM which seem to fail alot. I have seem many posts on the Corral about these failing. You need to make sure you keep them in a dry place with some sort of airflow to keep the box cool.

The other thing is about platium plugs. Platium plugs need to become very hot before the self cleaning effect starts to happen. this is why most find platium plugs foul alot.

I have used AC delco multi fire and they have been great. I have them in for almost 30K now without any problem. I pulled them at 20K and they looked new. I cleaned them and regapped them.... nice but on plugs its a crpa shoot since these may work for me they might not for you.

Good luck

Allen
