The power steering on my 70 Mustang doesn't work. It sort of tries to grab now and then, which can be worse than not working at all. I tried to find a new pump, and it was hard to find anything. What I did find was used and expensive. This was a couple years ago. I haven't purchased one. I looked at the hoses, and they are in terrible shape. So, I'm replacing them first to see what that does for me. My questions: 1) Is it likely that replacing the hoses, alone, will be the solution? 2) Any suggestions for a good pump at a reasonable price? I plan on trying with the people I got the new switch from, first, if I need it. My switch came in last nigh. I am going to go try it this afternoon. I'll let you know how it turns out! Hmmmm... Judging from the VAST (gads) amount of xp I have had with tearing those damn things apart and putting them back together again, -I have no clue! This must be odd, (not being able to find a pump) - i have not had much of a problem getting used pumps for 10-20 $ all day long out of boneyards.. never bought a new one (think they were like 150 or somethin like that) - where abouts do you live?
