My 2000 Navigator just started having both the tach and speedo slamming to full deflection (max) when starting. It otherwise does nothing weird. We took it to Lincoln who said that was "normal"??? They said all F-150s, Navigators and Expiditions do this. They showed my wife a paper saying this is normal. I think it is a alternator or something in the electrical sys about to blow. Of course our warranty runs out in a few months. Ours never did in the past 2.5 yrs. We think they are full of S%&#! Anyone heard of this? -Pat
