Hiya! Ok, how do I re-set my speedometer after the 3.73 gears instalation????? I know I need to replace a "speedometer gear" but first I think I need to knw what a "speedometer gear" is and, most important... WERE is it? TIA Ronky PS. follow the speedo cable to the tailshaft of the tranny. you can unplug it there. there is a assembly thats held into the trand by a 10mm bolt i think . lossen the bolt and pull the assembly out. the gear on the end is what you change. but being is that you installed a 3.73. youll also need to change the internal gear as well somthing best done by a trans shop. or you can live with the few mph off that you got Steve 94GT

NO internal gear change is ness for 3:73 gears on the auto trans. Just the plastic speedo gear. Did my sons 2yrs ago. The FMS catalog gives all the ness.info.This covers all fox bodies and sn95 to 94 I believe. Ford stocks all the gears mentioned ,about $3-4.00
