I have had my front springs replaced via warranty. Now the front of my contour is higher than the back. Is this normal? Do I need to have the back springs replaced.

You wouldn't get the full drop, because of the higher spring rate. The PSE just doesn't have the weight to compress the PGT springs. It's possible that you might have a higher ride height. Also the front my end up higher than the back, simply because the weight difference between the PSE and PGT is main in the front, where the engine is. You can certainly give it a shot, if you are a DIYer (Do It Yourself-er). I would not anticipate good results though. Enjoy, Bryan Pendleton >

Settle down Pendleton !! Changing springs can be done in your driveway if you have the right tools. As for the "DIYer" , or Do It Yourselfer as you call it , these guys learn a lot about their cars from hands-on experience. Knowlege is nothing without experience. Just be sure you have the right tools and some help nearby . The average "DIYer" can change springs if you take it one step at a time , that is, put one in at a time so you have one for comparison.- Good Luck Fellow "DIYer", Nick Nicholas A. Manka

Settle down??? I never said changing coil springs was hard, nor did I discourage the act, in fact I strongly encourage doing it yourself for the very reasons you mentioned. I was simply talyoring my message to the masses, and probably more that half the masses (guessing now 8-) ) would take their car somewhere to have the coils springs changed. Enjoy, Bryan >

hey man, i just lowered my 1993 se with eibachs and new stock struts and it is low. there is still a small wheel well gap, but the front bumper is only 3 inches off the ground. it may not sound very low, but it is. i fear every time i see a dip in the road. chris >

Try www.groundcontrol.com They have coilovers that are Great and can drop your ride from 1"-3", you control the ride height. Good luck, Steve
