Does anyone have the Starion FMIC dimensions handy? Specifically Core thickness, Core Height, and IC Width (including end caps)? > Thank you for your help, > > Bryan Pendleton > >

I would have to put my money on the Profec. I have worked with and built stepping moters before, and with the application of fuzzy logic technology the boost controller can find the quickest "route" to achieving the desired boost level without overshooting that boost level (thats the key). Also mantain that boost level once it is achieved. The "parameters" that need to be "characterized" by the controller are the desired boost level, the rate at which boost climbs, and how well the wastegate bleeds boost pressure. If you chould quantify these "parameters" you could build or tune the ideal controller, unfortunately everyone has a different setup. This is were fuzzy logic comes into play. The idea is to keep the wastegate closed as long as possible, but not to open it too late as overboost occurs, and to complicate matters you have the rate at which the "gate" opens. Now how the controller opens the "gate" will depend on the wastegate characteristics, and how fast boost levels climb, and the desired boost. I hope you can "see" that. I feel like I am not making any sense, or perhaps confusing matters worse. As for the injectors, I have not installed them as I have not ordered the MAF sensor. I put that off, because my clutch was slipping too bad, so I put my money on a new clutch. Now I am a little frustrated, because I have Texas Probe Summit on June the 12th, and my Clutchmasters Carbon/Kevlar Stage III clutch is on the way, but no Aluminum flywheel. I talked with ELP Motorsports about buying an Aluminum flywheel last Friday, and they said they would get back with me that day. Here it is a week later, and I have left 2-3 messages a day for them to call me back, and I still have not answer. The have told me in multiple emails, and over the phone a couple of times that they can make flywheels for our application, but now that I need one I cant get a hold of them. I would like to have the two installed and broken in by the event but it just doesn't look like its going to happen thanks to ELP. I will be RE-installing a working Walbro fuel pump this weekend, and will probably cut an order for the MAF in a few weeks, so I can get the fuel system fully upgraded for force induction. I will keep you updated. Thank you for the dimensions, Enjoy, Bryan Pendleton >
