Where is the start for my 97 ford aspire? I am no mechanic but need
to replace my starter. Please help. a web site with a diagram would
be great.

Try cleaning the cables on the battery a hot ararter draws a lot more current than a cold one. Does it kinda kick when you try to start it hot? Then you need to checked your timing ? If the timing needs to be adjusted and you haven't messed with it before then you more than likely have a timing chain going bad.  If your timing is ok then put a ampmeter on the positive cable and see what it draws, if you dont have a amp meter turn your head lights on and see if they go dim.

Mike, The way i pulled my starter out on my 74 was to put a jack upder the oil pan or crank pulley and jak the engine enough to take the weight off the motor mount on the passenger side, and remove the mound from the block , then unbolt the starter and slide it out through the hole there. also helps to pull the cross bar behind the crossmember. Mike
