Hello every1! Well, it seems that my bad luck is increasing by the day now, I simply can't get my GT 94 Conv. to run properly nor to have good acceleration, this is what some technicias have told me but I'm not pretty sure they're right, since we don't have a Mustang shop here in Mexico. - At Ford, they assure it's my transmission, but when I drive at low speeds tranny works pretty smooth and changes gears at time. - When I STEP in the gas pedal from 0, the car starts pretty well untill the 3000 RMP, then I feel that the engine losses all its power and the accel begins to slow down, if I press the pedal to a FULL, the engine "roars" but I get no more RMP nor mph/h, and the tranny doesnt change to 2nd for a considerable amount of time - Once the tranny changes to 2nd. I feel a kick and the power comes back to the engine, until the 3500 RPM or so, and the same thing happens to 3rd. - Now, when I reach 80 mp/h the engine stops giving power and 4th (OD) take AGES to kick, after that I get some more acceleration but I'm affraid to force the engine or the tranny, so I haven't made longer tests. - Nevertheless, some times if I dont push the gas pedal to a full from 0 and press it half, I get more that 4000 RPM in 1st, but the problems starts again in 2nd. The car has stock engine, I've only added the K&N filter, I've checked for oil in the air sensor and it seems ok, I've also checked all the connection for leaks bit everything seems alright. - Others tell me that it's the gas pump - Iinyectors - And, most recently, the engine, which is a 5.0 woth 50,000 milles, they don't specify what part of the engine, so I don't think they really know =). If anyone have had a similar problem, please let me know, before I tear the tranny appart, because I've heard that once the AODE is "refurbrished" it gives a lot of troubles and will need to replace it all, which is really expensive for me. Any help will be VERY apreciated. Thanx Ronky GT 94 Convertible -- It's hard to believe we need a place called "Hell"... (Hutchence, 1987 Anno Domini).

Ronky - He is referring to the Torque Converter inside the transmission, not the catalytic converter on the exhaust. Your symptoms do sound like they can be caused by the torque converter. Good luck, Sean.

Yes, I was referring to the torque converter.. sounds like something is messed up.. hope you have warranty.. otherwise get an aftermarket converter for more power. O.K. forget the MLPS(Manual Lever Position Sensor) for now ! A failing Intermediate One Way Clutch will cause a late or slow shift in 1 and 2 shift then a sort of bang noise then WOT wide open throttle that revs up the rpms . (Failing One Way Clutch)
