Still here, just not much happening in the lower 48 provinces. The weather has been MISERABLE, mid nineties for the past few days and record high pollen counts. I guess a bad pollen day is 1200 or so particles per cubic meter, yesterday it was 2587, the highest ever recorded. Even us non allergy sufferers have been affected. Headaches, scratchy throats, sniffles etc. I know now what suffering people with allergies have! the Escape is still running strong at almost 34000 miles now., just have to rename her the "green Widow" with all this pollen. Gary, there are now 3 Escapes at my place of work, and all three of us own BLACK Escapes. Obviously, I've started a trend! As far as the "Monstrosity" goes (my name for hubby's toreador red Sport Trac) I humour him and allow him to park it on the street, just not in front of my house! I too was horrified by the accident in Afghanistan and I guess my "patriotism" showed yesterday as I berated my husband for not only what happened, but the fact that it wasn't even considered that "newsworthy" down here, only being reported AFTER the weather! Even the traffic report was reported first! I hate meaningless death and I guess "friendly fire" is about as bad as it gets. I understand accidents happen but the last I heard reported down here, that pilot was told TWICE not to bomb the target . A lot of unanswered questions and I'll try to withhold judgement until all the facts are in. I just don't want to see a repeat of what the USAF did after that accident in Italy a few years back with the ski lift. I just feel for them, their families and the PPLI. Anyway, enough of that. Off my soapbox now Janice

Mid nineties!! I wouldn't mind half of that temperature as we still struggle with below freezing temperatures and snow. We are suppose to have weekend temperatures around 11 or 13 C (40/50 F) but it will turn cold again next week. March was our 2nd coldest ever recorded and I think April will be right up there as one of the coldest. No fear of pollen though. It's good that your husbands T-Red Explorer is out front so that everyone can see it. I guess even though your Escape is rather common at your work, I guess your Victoria Secret Bra still keeps it distinct. It was really sad reading comments from one of the wives in today's paper. It was hard not to get a tear in one's eye. During the Gulf war the U.S. lost 35 soldiers to friendly fire and the British I believe lost 9. non pollenated Gary
