howdy probers,       recently, I noticed a strange squeaking sound every time I turned hard right or left. the sound seemed to originate near the front wheel base and disappears when the wheels are on straight. It might be a precursor of something serious so I turn to ask the most reliable people about probes and its you guys. will you please help a fellow prober out?                                                                                        thanks,                                                                                        probep7

I had the same thing happen to me a few months ago, and it turned out to be nothing more then the ware indicators on the front brake pads scraping the rotors when turning. Changed the pads and haven't heard anything since. That's the first place I would start.      John

Probep7, I would concurr with John's observation. I'd also add that you may want to have a good qualtity lubrication job done on your chassis and related parts just to cover all of the bases. Chris >

That's just the squealler its a piece of metal they put on brake pads to let you know when to change them. Just break it off that'll get rid of the annoyance, then plan to change your pads when you have the time.
