Called the local Ford dealer to get prices on the struts.(B/F the discount) The front were $80 each and the rear were $180 each!!! What's up with the high cost of the rear struts? Did he quote me wrong or is there something that I don't know?

Thats insane. The rears may have a different dampening rate, and they are smaller than the fronts. They should, if anything, be cheaper. The $80 for the front sounds decent for an OEM (too low, actually), although the price is almost aftermarket. But since this is a dealer, Im guessing the $80 was wrong, and they really cost $180 each. :) Seriously. Dedric Ramsey dedric@...
