Problem is that "stock" struts can't generally handle the spring rates of
lowered and/or racing springs. They were made to handle the spring rates of
a stock spring. Going with a Strut that can handle the spring rate will
take that harshness out of the ride and stop the hard hits that feel like
bottoming out when driving down the road.. Eibachs come in many flavors
depending on if you just want to lower your car, road race, autox, drag
race, etc... depending on which springs you get will depend on which struts
you need to get to match them. Basically for the new springs to work right,
you need struts that can handle them... I went with Eibach Comp Pros and
stock struts for a time, ended up buying Konis for the racing I do... makes
a big difference.. If you aren't racing and don't want to spend allot of
money on struts, and didn't buy 900# springs, you can sometimes get away
with a KYB or something. Your local mustang speed shop should know a good
strut to work with the springs you bought.. A koni Yellow or a Tokico 5 way
adjustable is going to cost a minor fortune.. but well worth the money if
you are a serious racer...
