Can anyone help me with something?
I have had my car in and out of shops for the last month trying to figure out this problem... I'm getting sick of not having a car!

I have 2 cylinders (2 and 6 I think) that are constantly hot. The way it is supposed to work they pulsate when the car is running, these 2 are hot when the key is turned to on when all the others are not hot. There is also the smell of a dead mouse or something in the car for whatever that's worth. The thinking is that maybe something chewed something and died, but we haven't found any evidence of that yet.

Has anyone run into anything like this? More importantly does anyone have any ideas about FIXING IT!?!?!

Thanks-
Paul

smell comes from mildew in trunk, spray with disiinfectant or similar product. as for engine electrical, sounds like prob. in ECU , when i run into such probs., i find it best to take to dealer or someone familiar with that specific car otherwise your just wasting your time and money. good luck.

I've sprayed all kinds of stuff and cleaned the carpets to clear up the smell, I'm pretty sure it's a dead animal.
I also had the ECU replaced. It's at a shop that I trust, he also has contacts at the ford dealer that he is talking to about it.
Thanks for the advice though!

Paul

yo dude Yall gotta kill that mildew, not spray it with perfumes.yeah were talkin' bout dead animals here now their growth may have been caused by a conspiricy at ford but i think it may be from condesation in that trunk, this gets back to ford but i think they didn'nt think about things like that, but, i think you can fix it where ford left off and even be proud of the fact that you can. as far as your mech, probs go . i have mechanic which is very good friend , but i know his limitations and he will let me know when he cant fix a prob. not because he really cant, but doesnt have the time to research the tsbs etc. for that specific vehicle. that does not make him a bad mechanic, he has to fix many cars with all sorts of probs., he is still a friend though even when he cant fix my bird. and i cant stand when i have to take it to dealer be cause if they put a rookie on it , well u know but if u bitch about it they have to come through. sounds like your prob is short somewhere something pretty simple.i wish u best of luck in getting this sorted out. joe a fellow club member
