Is an amp NEEDED to hook up Subwooofers? Im planning on buying two subwoofers for my ranger in the near future. I have never owned subs and just wanted to know if they can be hooked up with out an amp. Thankz

They can be hooked up without an amp, but I think that it would be pointless. If they are just wired up to the factory speaker wiring, it would work....but as far as the sound goes...well let's just say there is nothing wrong with amplification!!!
