I don't think any T-Bird had rear doors, or rear suicide doors. Maybe it was a Ford Lincoln Continental ? I think the 62 model had the doors you describe. Bruce counts baby {

The 1968-69 Thunderbird had 4 doors, the rear two were suicide doors. :) http://www.musclecarclub.com/musclecars/ford-thunderbird/images/ford-thunderbird\ -1968a.jpg

All this talk of suicide doors got me wondering....What all would be involved in converting a car without suicide doors into a car with suicide doors? And also, why are they called suicide doors? -KYLE

At the very least, fabricating new hinges, new striker plates, moving the door handle and lock to the front of the door, re-running all wires that enter the door under the carpet to the rear of the door then through... This explains why they are called that, tells the entire run of T-birds with suicide doors, and the Thunderbird making another note in history as well, lol. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suicide_doors

Imagine going down the road at 70 mph, and some one bumps the door handle. The door opens slightly, and then the wind catches the door. Just hope the passenger isn't holding on trying to close the door when the wind catches it. Some of the newer style trucks have the rear suicide doors, but the door interlocks with the front door and can not be open unless the front door is open first. ( uh... this is my opinion and may not be factual ) :-) Bruce
