firstly, whenever increasing the air/gas volume,
and thus the power, certain mods should be added,
ones to assist in handling the extra power and the
extra engine wear. that said..

A supercharger is
a great daily driver solution, it can give 100
reliable horsepower at the top of your power band. it's a
nice relyalbe power too. since it's just a fan pulled
by your drive belt, there's no lag, and it's nice
and predictable because it's always making the same
amount of power at a certain rpm (more or less). Only
problem is that the only really good SC kit for a 2.0l
Zetec is the jackson one, which is a great product, but
it doesn't make all that much boost.

tubos
are good for high HP applications. with accessories
the sky is the limit, some guy on focaljet is running
20 lbs boost and 100 lb injectors, and his engine
still pings. a turbo is by far the best HP production,
but it is only to be had by a professional who knows
how ot tune it. it's also a large large investment
upfront, and in maintenence.

I like turbos, but, a
SC will be more HP than 90% of most cars out there
today.
