does anyone know were to hook up a tach on a 3.0 ford ranger?

the coil should have two wires the red one is the power to the coil the other one you hook the tach to

It has been awhile myself(the mid-80s), but the rpms seem kind of low for that speed and that gear. My old Mopar had a 340 4spd w/ a 3.91 gear ratio and I am pretty sure it was over 3000 rpms @ 60-65mph. Maybe the speedometer isn't accurate, or are you sure on the rear end gear, or maybe I am wrong, it was a long time ago! Anyone else have some input?<br> Take care John
