well i took started messing with the flathead turns out rings are locked in the cylinders cause it sat so long:( motor was supposed to be rebuilt what a shame.i got it soaking but not sure if its gonna break loose:( so ive been thinking of putting this 68 302 i got laying around in it. but i dont want to weld in mounts or alter my chassis.what options would i have? i know i would have to change to 12 volt also but would be careful with original harness so i could save it in case i want flatty back into it. its just so original i cant bring myself to alter it where it cant be put back the way it is.ive been seeing harneses on the web but 300bucks little more than i want to spend.any harnesses out there that make good donors? any help from you guys would be great. im gonna post a pic soon of truck for a before for you guys. well i try to get questions answered little by little lol..........phil

EZ Wiring in Florida has a 14 circuit wiring harness for $195. I put one in my '40 Ford streetrod 2yrs ago and I am very pleased with it. It is 12 volt system with all the wires labeled every five inches. You can find the add in Streetrodder Magazine. You can buy after market motor mounts that bolt on from Chassis Engineering in West Branch Iowa. Good luck!! ptoolooze
