Just curious, was there a big difference between the 3.0 and 3.8. I have driven a 95 Ford Probe GT, 99 Taurus LX, and my own but never a 3.8. I was just wondering because in case I'm ever in a race with someone with one, i wonder if I'll win with my mods?<br><br>Thanks, <br>Mick

My first Taurus was the 1988 3.0L V6. When I moved up to the 1992 3.8L V6 I noticed a huge difference in performance. Mind you, my 1999 3.0L Vulcan V6 SE has twice the power that my 1992 did. I've taken Mustangs and camaro's off the line. It's got lots of guts.

Wow, thanks for the info. I've only really raced rice burners around here. A few Jeeps and also a few trucks but nutin worth mentioning. Most of my friends can't afford those cars. I'll u guys know the first time I race a "muscle" car.

Yeah there's a difference. I have a 3.8. If you were to race me I'd put up one hell of a fight, I know how to race. I've tooken on many cars myself. My most recent victory a Dodge Intrepid 3.5 that my friend has. I haven't checked on the Yahoo boards lately.
