What about the pulleys? It sounds like its coming from there... Could i replace those and the belts? Do you think that would work?

My 2.5 whines and it always has also when it sits at an idol for a while it will hiss like it is letting off pressure. I think that my whole engine is under vacuum whenever I leave my car running and try to take the oil cap off it will suck air into the valve cover and shut off. This is why I don't like to piss with my engine very much, because I don't know much about these newer efi and cuputerized engines. Jeremy 94 PGT custom exaust >

Check your vent line from the filter box to the valve cover...make sure it's not plugged or collapsed, if it's plugged the pcv valve will form a high vacuum inside the crankcase. So...you were right..you got a hoover for an engine right now.:) Carolyn 96 SE >
