Can you guys/gals let me know what types of problems you have experienced in your first year (or in some cases - months) of owning the car. I just want to know what I might expect. I ordered a 2001 Black ZX3 Focus today with a factory installed (manual) moonroof. Hooray :0)

But I am just curious about what problems you might be having.

After about 15,000 miles of what can only be explained as extremely tough driving:

* hitting the top of the power band
* hard cornering at breakneck speeds (which the ZX3 does VERY nicely)
* Bootleg (180) turns using the handbrake
* Power-Shifing (Not letting up on the gas when upshifting)
* Rally-style drift driving over washboard dirt and gravel roads....

My front struts are making some noise, but they're still in great condition. :)

I work at a Ford dealership, and the only focus' I've ever seen in service for warranty repair have been for broken side mirrors, I guess they break easy, so don't drive your car through carwash machines. We have a couple Budget rental focus' in the used car lot with 25,000+ miles on them and they run like new! Which is surprising considering Ford's pathetic track record with drivetrains, etc. I think they did a great job with the focus.
