Well I thought that I would ask you guys what you thought. I have a 1993 Explorer and it has the 5 speed tranny. I have been hearing a light noise coming from the clutch. I can also feel a little click in the clutch pedel when I am releaseing the clutch. I have checked the fluid and it is allright. Am I looking at a new clutch soon? If so where would you guys say is the best place to get it repaird. Also if anyone has had one replaced can you please give me a price. Thanks

Hello Group, I have a 1993 Explorer Sport 4X4 with a 5-speed manual transmission and part time hubs and 2-speed transfer case. I have 120,000 miles and I had my clutch assy and slave cylender and master cylender all replaced. The clutch assy and slave cylender and transmission was replaced at 104,000 miles and the clutch master cylender shortly after. The clutch will even slip on a level road.Just hit the gas pedal hard and it will do the same as gooing up hill. The transmission was replaced because of the nylon that was used to assemble some of the bearings in the transmissiom. The transmission that was a total rebuild. The total cost was about $2,000.00 that was parts and labor together.. Art
