But when the wife said she wanted a Jeep (I shuddered when she said that, but I'm teaching her) for her own offroading, I did manage to talk her into getting a 74-77 Bronco, for all the obvious reasons. Now it's only a matter of time when we can afford one.

My only problem is, I don't know which year is considered to be the best from the factory. Meaning, I don't know which year model has the best of everything. yeah, I'll be modifying it anyway, but the less work I have to do, the better for me. See, what I want is one that coes with the 302, power steering(not power-assist), power brakes. And does the early Bronco have the big-bearing 9" in the years I want? I need to know more than I do before I can go looking for one.

Thanks to Rod and whoever else answers my questions.
David

'73-'77 had power steering, and the auto tranny was also available '76-'77 had disc brakes, to my knowledge if the bronco had a heavy duty rearend and '76 and '77 had the big bearing rearend.
