OK. My 95 MTX Probe is making a wierd noise...When the car is in gear and my foot on the accelerator, I hear a ticking noise coming from under the car. If I let up on the gas, it goes away, but comes back as soon as I start to accelerate. If I put the clutch in, the noise almost always goes away. The frequency of the ticking seems to be constant (i.e. not related to engine speed). Anyone ever have this problem? I've got 73k on the original clutch (the throwout bearing has been squealing for the last 20k...according to the mechanic at Ford, I shouldn't worry about it) Mike

it sounds like the throw out bearrings. your best or replaceing the whole clutch. Eric 96PSE
