hey i have a 1997 ford probe with only 15,000 miles on it and it runs gret except when it gets warm it developes a ticking or knock. i recently noticed it and was wondering if anyone out there has heard f any recalls and anything from ford about this problem. i run a 5/30 synthetic in it and a premium oil filter on it if u could maybe email with any comments or hopefully something to help with i could use it my email is rage6996@...

Call the dealership. My 1995 has a bulletin that calls for replacing the oil pump that Ford/Mazda screwed up, but the consumer has to pay for it. Also try www.alldata.com. You don't get any more life or power out of synthetic oils or chemicals. Also using too many additives to your engine, such as fuel injection cleaner, could damages engine parts, such as your fuel pressure regulator. The ticking noise is either insufficient oil to the top end or a leaking or stuck hydraulic lifter.
