Not a silly thing at all. Very smart thinking...Yes after 100K a timing chain/belt is
recommended. With the explorers, its a wait until the chain streatches and
have the timing tested before you change it.
Just change the tranny fluid. They are pretty low maintainance.
You can pay 125 for them to change the fluid or about 25 to do it yourself.
All you have to do is get an empty gallon container, pull the tranmission fluid
line off the cooler and pour in while you are draining out. It holds about 2-3 gallon.
Get the filter changed to....take that one in....

Sorry the dealership just told me that these trucks dont use timing belt, silly me. Well I guess that the transmission and 90K service will be first. Thank you. Robin
