Drives: 1988 F-150 5.0 v8
Location: San Diego



I have a 88 f-150 5.0 V-8 and i want to check the timing,the hood says i have to disconnect something before i put a timing light on it, does anyone know what that is i have to disconnect and where it is or what it looks like? Thanks

It is probably the vacuum advance hose located on the distributor. It is a round metal peice that has a diaphram inside. A vacuum hose plugs into it. Unplug it and see what happens.
