ok, my 97 came with 35% tints, but its just not dark enough for me. Do I really have to cough up 200 bucks for the damn thing or can I try to do it myself?

You can do it by yourself if you want, but chances are it won't be as good as a professional job. It might turn purple or bubble. I spent the money for mine and got a lifetime warranty against that stuff. It was $189, but I think it was worth it. Okay, listen, and listen up good. I was a window tinter for two years and I'm telling you right now, unless you've done it before, cough up the $200. It's well worth it and you'll be much, much happier. I tinted hundreds of cars before I got my Probe, and let me tell ya, it wasn't the easiest car to do...by far.
