The car is Street/strip, mostly a daily drives, but since I chabged the gears and added the shift kit I began to feel some vibrations on high speeds, at for they told me it was because the driveshaft, vibrations are not that bad, it's just that I didnt feel em before Has the aluminum driveshaft more riks to "break" at high speeds? any help will be apreciated TIA Ronky GT 94 Conv. -- *YAM* Mailer Powered by *AMiGA* Computers Team *AMiGA* *UIN:*12930954 Proud *AMiGA* user since 1988 ?Te voy a hacer pedazos, chiquitita..! -- Mauricio Garc?s

Get the aluminum, its quieter and lighter, and wont vibrate like yours... or
try taking your current d-shaft and turn it 180 degrees and bolt it back up
to the rear and see if it still vibrates... sometimes that does the trick.

Replacing the driveshaft to a ALum will not get rid of the vibration. I would
guess that when you had the gears put in they went aligned to the correct
operating clearences.  But a Alum driveshaft will get more HP from the engine
to the rear wheels, due to less unsprung weight.

$140 really isn't that bad.  Costs $300 for a classic Mustang.

The stock driveshaft is never really balanced properly. When you change the ring and pinion, you bring out the vibrations that were already present in the drivetrain. The aluminum driveshaft is balanced much better, and will get rid of most vibrations. If the gears were not aligned properly you wouldn't be able to drive home.

Not to mention if your stock d-shaft is bent, like mine was...
