Nick,<br> If you are going to street drive a
large portion and some trail then the 12.5x35 BFGmuds
are hard to beat. They hold up decent on the road and
go fairly well off road. If you are east of the
Miss. river contact National Tire and Wheel in Wheeling
WV, call after 11 and ask for Stid. If you are west
then 4wph is the best(shipping cost to factor in-both
situations). As for rims-I personally like the American Racing
Bajas-they are finished on both sides and won't "bleed" like
the Eagles which are only finished on one side. rim
size-much debate-the 15x8 will "stand the tire up" more and
are less likely to come off the bead when aired down,
the 15x10's will put more rubber on the
road/obsticle, but will come off the bead with out beadlocks
when aired down. Lastly if you are mainly off road I
liked the 12.5x35 Swamper ssr's. They grip VERY well
but are soft and wear quickly on the
road.<br>HTH,<br>Karl Bradley<br>'66/'77
