My probe takes a size 205/55R 15 tire. I have been looking for a reasonable price on tires for a few months, and the prices are all outrageous. Anyone have any info, or ideas, their all much appreciated. P.S. anyone drive their probe in the snow? how is it, I took mine off the road for the winter (in upstate NY) and bought a P.O.S., but I'm really getting tired of paying for the beautiful probe, and not getting to drive it!! so, I could really use some feedback...thanks

Well first the snow there is not enough weight in the front of the car to keep the wheels from spinning constantly. Second the tires I found my tires for 55 each that was the cheapest anywhere and I searched a lot of places. Jose G

man, you should be so lucky to have the 15s for winter, i drive my 93 probe SE all winter long except in heavy snow storms, i have it with 5 spoke 225/50 16" GT rims. it aint pretty but i get around, tires on a good day cost me $140 a piece. (bf goodrich comp t/a vr4) can get them for 125-130 in other brands. i wouldnt trade the 16's for 15's though scott 93 Probe SE

You guys must live back East or somthing. I'm out here in Ca. & I'm never in the snow. I'd have to drive 2 hours to get to it. So, are you guys saying the Probe is lousey in the snow......?? I've been in the rain many times & the car is great with the tires I have on it. The old Dunlop D40 M2 tire is still a great choice P225/50/16 You guys be carefull in that snow. I have a 1994 GT V6 .............name is Craig Kennedy

Okay, in case you didn't know, I live in good ole' northern Michigan. Okay, my probe totally blows in the snow, but it's not the car, it's the shoes that are on it. You can't run track in football cleats ya know. Get some straight up snow tires. They're aren't as attractive as the low pro's I hope you have on the car, but they are awesome in the snow. A buddy of mine drives a Mustang 5.0 HO in the snow, and he has snow tires, and it handles better than my probe. Except for the whole power controlling that's involved. Get some ugly ass, tall ass skinny snow shoes, and you'll cruise like a champ. Carolyn 96 Se I feel your pain buddy. >

Okay buddy, the lower the profile, typically the higher the price. You do not have to put 55 series tires on your car ya know. If you want the look, you gotta pay the price! Carolyn 96 Se 205/60/15's >
