Hey Saint-- I owne a 98 SE myself. I'm 20, and have done some fine tuning to her heart and a lot to her surface. The tires, I have killed three sets of tires and have found that the newest victims are BFG's. Get the factory size in a 225 series. My tires only survive 15-20K miles on ave. But the BFG's are now at 34 and looking strong. HARD RUBBER. Go with HARD RUBBER. Let me know if you want the specs. on the ones she stands on now. I'll be happy to give them to you.

I have Kumho 712's on my car. 205/55-16 on 16" Borbet type B's and really like them. Only $71 at tirerack.com. they grip very well and are quiet.

yep, I got them while they were on sale for $100 a piece, I'm not sure if the sale is still going on or not. As bfar as the wheels go, they are GORGEOUS on the Tour. They make it look much more Euro (and not in a trashy way) than the stock 8 spokes. They make it look like a much more expensive car. They are pretty wide (7.5") and a little heavier than stock, but other than that it's the best thing I've done to my car. If you order them from the tire rack be sure to ask for Lance, he's the guy who moderates the tire forum on the CEG website.

Anyone know if the Yokohama's can handle the occasional snow shower? -- In fordfocuszx3@yahoogroups.com, Ashley Griffin <sweetonee23@y...> wrote: > > I bought some 195/60Tr15 Yokohama...They are a really good tire when it is rainy but also rides good too...Ashley > danielfuller

Brian, Search the Probe WebRing, I recently added a website of a gentlemen with 18" wheels on his Probe GT. You will probably have to run the same size tire, simply because there won't be too many options for you with an 18" tire. Odds are you will have instrumentation error, but if your shootin' for show, then go for it. Bryan Pendleton

I used to have that exact same set, and never had a problem with the tires at all....not even unlucky enough to get a flat

I'm not exactly sure what I've got on my van (they were on it when I bought it ~5000 miles ago. They're not wearing unsually (I'm not sure they're wearing at all), and I've got a bent rim even. I should probably fix that, but I don't have the time or $ to fix something that's not really broken =) I'll check what tires I have and get back w/ you. They're just a passenger car type tread (nothing like an offroad tire), possibly heavy duty since the van was previously a company van. Nick D Message: 8
