Hi,
I am looking for a "simple", "relatively inexpensive" way to increase the torque of my 2000 ZX3. This car is not really lacking power (2.0 zetec) but you have to play with the clutch a lot, like a motorcycle in fact, to be in the right rev range. Does someone have an idea how to get the peak torque 1000 to 1500 rpm lower ?
Thanks

Simple.....Chip It!!! For $200-$300 you can plug in a chip which will change your torque values by changing out you fuel air mixture and raising your tach limiter to 7900 rpm. You will notice an increase in torque right from the first take off. no gas needed....just let out the clutch and it should pull itself. You will also get other power gains as well. If you want more....your next best bet would be exhaust. A full cat system. That will get better pressure ratios kickin in the combustion chambers which will allow the car to pull with greater ease. Good luck.

don't forget the magical cam gear install! then you cna fine tune your power band with a few screws, though, it does void your engine warrantee...
