I am military and I am changing stations in September, so I have to move from TX to VA. As I had done the previous two times I relocated cross-country, I was planning on renting a U-Haul 4x8 enclosed trailer to take some of my stuff. But that was before I found out about U-Haul's idiotic policy of not renting any of their towed equipment to Explorer owners. So I have a couple of questions.... 1) Does any other nation-wide company offer similar trailers for a one-way trip? 2) Would my 2003 Explorer (XLT, V6 Auto, 4.0L, 2WD, Class II Tow package) be able to tow my 2001 Volvo S60 (FWD) on a front wheel dolly? Yes it will, BUT you need to get an additional Transmission cooler before you do so. This is the main reason for the Uhaul issue. That and the lack of adequate weight vs the capacity that many tow.
