i think Camry 4 cyl has 2.2 with 135 HP (the old Celica GT engine)... 6 cyl is 3.0 with 192 HP. and i believe torque is similar to HP for both engines u could probably beat the 4 but not the V6 unless the V6 is auto and your manual then maybe close?

I had a probe and just traded it in for a camry. The camry 4, i think, is much quicker than my 4 probe. The probe 6 is supposed to be much faster than a camry 6 though. Dave T. Albany, NY

It depends.  A 4-cylinder Camry from 1987-91 has about 115 hp (same as your 4), a six-cylinder has about 155 (I wouldn't try it).  From 1992-95, the 4 went up to about 130 and the six to 188.  Being more of a family car and a bit heavy, I'd say race against the 4, but you'd better get a head-start if he's got a six!
