I am about to add a tranny cooler and could not find the warmer line from the radiator to see which is the return line. If someone knows which line is the return line on a 95GT w/ AODE; the top or bottom, could you please help me out. thanks

This should not be an issue, unless your new cooler has some sort of directional valve. Most of them don't. I always run the top line to the top nipple on the cooler. Are you wanting to keep the fluid running thru the radiator? Mike Reynolds

YES, I WOULD LIKE TO USE THE RADIATOR ALSO. THIS UNIT DOES NOT HAVE A DIRECTIONAL VALVE. I WANT IT TO RUN FROM THE COOLER BACK TO THE TRANNY, NOT FROM THE TRANNY TO COOLER, SO THAT WHY I NEED TO KNOW WHICH LINE IS THE RETURN LINE TO THE TRANNY. ARE MY THOUGHTS WRONG ON NEEDING TO KNOW THIS FOR ROUTING?

You are correct in needing the flow direction based on how you want to set this up. A very simple way to figure this out is to remove one of the lines, preferably the top one and have an assistant start the car for asecond or to. The trans pump will pump the fluid either out the tubing or the raditator. Use a hose on the tubing to catch the fluid. I used another piece of trans line screwed into the radiator with another piece of hose for the radaitor side. Both hoses were routed to a catch pan. I had to do this one time. Kinda makes a mess but with a little prep you can minimize it. I was getting conflicting info on a car I was working on, so I decided to find out for sure. I believe you will use the top line to route to the cooler, but don't hold me to that. Just as a side thought, I saw a cool (pun intended) setup using a switch valve to direct the fluid either into the cooler or the radiator, depending on the temp. Mike
