Geez that sounds so familiar, but I just can't seem to think of the answer. Darn! I hate when that happens!

Isn't there an American Ford Transvit van that's simply called "Ford Transit Van". I have a feeling their is? If you ask any Ford dealer they should have a fair idea what you're talking about and let you know. Maybe have a look around at their models and find something similar.

I believe that there is one called "Transit Van" but I thought I had read that it isn't coming out until 2009?

Come to think of it I think I have read something about it myself. Not sure if it is already out or coming out next year though.

Ah, you're right. I've done a bit of research and they're saying that we're talking about mid-2009 for the release of the Ford Transit Van in America. Reckon you can wait that long?

So why have the Americans got to wait so long for something that's been around in Europe for years and years? I guess it's got to be the same name for a totally upgraded vehicle.

It is of course a new vehical and it won't be the same as the European one however the answer to your question I believe lies in demand. I don't think there has been a demand for a Transit Van in America until now and that's why there hasn't been one.
