be CAREFUL! not only does it slow the rate at which your alternator charges your battery and keeps your CAR WORKING, electrically, it also involves changing the pulley which effects your WATER PUMP ( see: overheating). i thought about the change, but like not having a cracked block and also ejoy having all my electrical parts work dandy.

That's a bunch of bunk. I've never heard of ANYONE getting a cracked block because they put pulleys in. A few friends and myself have all put Steeda's pulleys in our cars, and I haven't noticed an increase in running temperature one bit. Also, it doesn't slow down the alternator THAT much - our cars are all equipped with the high-output alternators anyway, so that little bit of slow-down doesn't affect it much (I have a '00 GT). The only thing I would recommend against, is if you have a high-wattage stereo system in your car. That then will make your headlights dim a bit, but nothing will be adversely affected. Pulleys are safe and if installed correctly, are a great mod for mid- higher RPM torque & HP. They helped my quarter mile times dramatically - with just the pulleys I dropped my ET by about a quater-second. If they were problematic, you would have heard about it before... ;) ~Brian

I've been running steeda pulley for over a year, with not one problem. Keep inmind i drove in 110 degree wheather, i'm in arizona... no craked block.... who ever said that is full of it, no way, even if you over heat, you don't get that from the pulleys,no matter what anyone sais.... nos..... ??? yes, but not pulleys....

you've seen overheating probs with NOS?? that's weird 'cause usually the N2O will cool down the combustion chamber.. i've been running my NOS kit for a few months and have no problems. what caused the instances you're talking about? i'd like to avoid whatever it was. jason
