We bought it from the dealer who did not tell us it had been in a major accident. I found out when I received the registration. Next I had to have both front bearings replaced, last week a new Ford dealer took me for a major tuneup plus at $400. A day later it sounded & acted just as bad as before. A friend told me to take it to Shucks Auto Parts where do do FREE Electrical scans. My #7 spark plug wire was not connected to spark plug so the technician connected it free. Now it runs fine. But I need a new Program key, dealer told me it would cost me $100. per key. But I bet I can beat that somewhere? Joe

um just so you know the cost for the tune up is legit because of that last plug under the a/c

however, make damn sure that they recharged your a/c as they have to discharge it and remove it to get to that plug

um... not true. I'll admit it's a bitch to get to that plug, but you do not need to remove the a/c components to replace the plug. I've done it myself. I'll admit I cussed the a@@hole that designed it - but it can be done. Go thru wheel well and have the right extensions.

I took my Explorer over to Schucks Auto Parts and the young fella just reached down & secured the  Wire to the 7th plug for free. No dealer cost. Explorer works like a Charm now.   Joe
