my mom has a 96 contour 2.0 . when its parked or in neutral, it idles just fine, but when its in drive and stopped, it makes a vibration and 'putter putter' noise. im convinced that it has something to do with the tranny. to me it feels like the tranny is not disengaging all the way and still catching a little. i know of someone having to change a TCC solenoid on a different car that had the same problem. does the Contour have this? it has recently had a new timing belt, tune-up, and tranny fluid change. it has around 70k.any help would be greatly appreciated. im tired of hearing my mom complain to me about this problem!!
